Options to set what to sync with e.cloud missing in newer account seetings

  • /e/ version: probably any
  • Device model(s): probably any

Summary

Description

After installing /e/OS with adding an /e/account the data from my Fairphone 3 have been synced to the cloud before I could stop it. It was quite some work to get it removed from there without removing it from the phone.

Installing /e/OS adding /e/account during setup data from my phone has been synced to the e.cloud without me being able to decide what I want to have in the cloud.

Older versions of the account settings (it was the case on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), now the options have been removed there also) there was a screen to choose which data shall be synced. See screenshot here https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/uploads/a1b5144a2381e320b6a3e5779d814476/screenshot_20200309_11_13_10.png I want to sync selected data only with the cloud.

My data is MY data. That is valid also for the e.cloud. I don't understand why these options have been removed.

This issue has been raised in the community several times without being answered ever by the /e/ team.
