Files in external Music folder not listed
Summary
I have an 128 GB SD card in my Fairphone 3+ which is formatted as extending the phone memory. I wanted to add music files to the Music folder and it worked fine, for a while. After adding some more files the FP3+ doesn't list any files at all in the Music folder and connecting it to my laptop running Ubuntu I get "libmtp could not get object handles of 00000002". Erasing the Music folder does not work, either from phone or laptop.
In the file explorer many of the files are listed but not accessible. Trying to open an audio file with the music player results in "I/O error".
There seems to be a limit on the amount of files that can exist in a folder on a SD card, which would explain what happened: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2651907/is-there-a-limit-for-the-number-of-files-in-a-directory-on-an-sd-card

Components affected
Priority [Please assign a severity to the issue after submitting]: ( S1 - critical - mail or nextcloud service fully down S2 - high - some feature not available, like rainloop webmail or onlyoffice S3 - medium - some annoyance like slow loading times, error notifications on the phone, intermitent access… S4 - low - minor problem not preventing the use of the feature, with or without workaround. Eg icons being gone or no image previews )

Solutions
Workaround
Avoid having many files, especially with long filenames...
Possible fixes
Maybe try to get the industry to move away from aged standards? A warning when too many files are added to a folder? Change filesystem type, at least on internal storage?
