Summary
I am using an external SanDisk 128 GB SD Card for my FP3. I formatted it to extend the internal storage to keep my Spotify and Magic Earth libraries locally on my phone. Strangely when I try to migrate my data from my internal (20GB/64GB) to external storage (2GB/128GB) I get a message that I do not have enough storage space. I tried it out after a reset of the phone and with no success. Before the reset I could migrate the data but I could not save something on the SD card. When the internal storage was full of data, it was not using the external but it was almost empty (2GB /128GB).
Both Apps have the rights to access the Storage.
I noticed some couple things. When I try to remove in the Files app Android/data/com.general.magicearth I receive an access denied not enough permission error on my phone and on my computer (Linux Mint) when the phone was connect.
It is very frustrating, because it worked on the last /e/ version with Android 9 without any problems.
The problem
Steps to reproduce
-Insert an external SD-Card to your Fairphone
-Turn it on and go to Settings
-Then go to Storage
-Click on your SD-Card and format it as an extension for your external storage
-Now select migrate data
optional:
-Download a lot of Magic Earth Map data and check the storage usage
What is the current behavior?
I can not migrate data to external storage extension. Apps do not work properly.
What is the expected correct behavior?
The external storage should be recognized as internal storage and apps should be able to use the storage extension properly.
