Tool to transfer data from existing provider to Ecloud
Summary
Description
What is the current behavior?
Let's say i have a google account with data on my Google drive and i have just opened an account on ecloud.global. I will have to download and transfer all my data from one service to another. This is lengthly and potentially i might miss some services in the process.
From one of our users: "Hopefully when e develops a e transfer tool which has not yet been pushed out one the OnePlus 7 pro builds at least. While I’m here, is their any news pertaining to e’s development on such a tool? Something similar to Google’s cause I like the convenience ,and coming from a person who test software constantly. A data transfer tool would be a great addition to e’s os."
What is the improved behavior?
I use a transfer tools that gets one time permissions to access my Google account and transfers automatically my data to the right folders on my newly created ecloud account
What does it bring?
This makes the transition smooth and simple and would prevent users from having to download other tools like the Nextcloud client manager.
Examples
From the same user: when you have a android and sign in your Google account it fetches your data and you can choose what you want to transfer to that device like: device settings, messages, contacts… etc. Just saying it would make the transfer to e/ a little easier. Instead of having to log into e/ then download Nextcloud.
