Prevent users to add multiple ecloud accounts

  • /e/ version: all
  • Device model: all
  • Reproducible with the last /e/ version: yes
  • Reproducible with LineageOS: yes

Summary

User are allowed to add multiple ecloud accounts.

This improvement concerns

  • UI
  • Behavior
  • Privacy

Description

What is the current behavior?

User can add as much ecloud account as he wants.

What is the improved behavior?

When a user try to add a second ecloud account, a message inform him that there is already one account set, and the workaround: add the second accounts to individual applications (like Mail, or Calendar), or create a separate Android user context on the device and link that one with the second ecloud account.

What does it bring?

Avoid confusion and errors due to applications that don't support this (eDrive?)

Examples

Validation

  1. Add a first ecloud account
  2. Try to add a second ecloud account. Check that the system forbid you to do so.
