Cannot install VLC from Apps manager

• /e/ version: 0.7-o-2020030644074-dev-whyred
• Device model: Xiaomi whyred

I open the "Apps" manager
Try to install VLC (which is oddly marked as "unknown" author)
=> Progress bar stays stuck in the "INSTALLING" (greyed out) state.
I have to kill the Apps manager.
