## Summary
When one or both of 4G Calling or Wi-Fi Calling are enabled all incoming calls are shown as 'Unknown', regardless of whether the caller is saved in Contacts or not.
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
1. Add person to Contacts with phone number
2. Turn on 4G Calling or Wi-Fi Calling or both
3. Receive call from contact
**What is the current behavior?**
Contact shows as 'Unknown'
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
Contact shows as contact's name.
## History
This issue seems to have been first [reported on the /e/ forum](https://community.e.foundation/t/all-calls-come-up-as-an-unknown-caller-even-when-they-are-in-my-contacts-list/23836) four years ago, and shortly before that [on the Fairphone forum](https://forum.fairphone.com/t/bug-android-10-fp3-unknown-caller/64254?u=ingo) by users of the stock Android ROM (then Android 10).
This issue was reported here 2 years ago as https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/-/issues/3078 and closed without resolution.
This bug has a very nasty interaction with the 'Block unknown callers' setting; namely, because all callers are mistakenly considered 'Unknown', all calls are blocked.
The format in which the phone number saved for the contact is written (i.e., with or without dialing code) does not make any difference.
## Solutions
**Workaround**
The four-year-old workaround presented in the Fairphone thread of [disabling 4G Calling and Wi-Fi Calling](https://forum.fairphone.com/t/bug-android-10-fp3-unknown-caller/64254/6) still works.https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/-/issues/7741Chose your internet location provider2024-02-06T22:44:50ZCommown 1Chose your internet location provider## Summary

A feature to chose your location provider when using network location
## Description
**What is the feature?**
Users could chose their location provider from a list (Mozilla Location Service, OpenCelliD, Google Fused Location Provider, ...)
**Who will use this new feature?**
users who have issues with Mozilla Location Services
**Why these users would like to use this feature?**
MLS often shows wrong location when using network location. I had to disable it to have a correct location using GPS, but it doesn't work when being indoors.
## Examples
Users could :
- chose the best location provider, depending on their location
- have an accurate network location

## Summary
I recently came across an app in App Lounge without a privacy rating. Instead, there was a repeat symbol showing (such as [this](http://pluspng.com/img-png/png-repeat-open-1000.png) one). When clicking the symbol, App Lounge proposes to generate a new rating via Exodus. This seems to be the implementation of the following issue: https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/-/issues/6537
- **The problem:** The rating that Exodus generates (2 trackers found) is different from the score that App Lounge displays for the same app some hours later.
- **The app tested:** com.localphone.localphoneapp
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
(Not sure this is reproducible as the app has received a rating now)
- Found the Localphone app (com.localphone.localphoneapp) within App Lounge
- Clicking the repeat symbol that shows instead of the pricacy rating. This leads straight to the webpage of exodus-privacy. The site displays that the app has an old/outdated rating (the previous one was from 2020 sa stated on Exodus website) and proposes to generate a new one.
- Following the steps within exodus-privacy.eu.org to generate a new rating.
**What is the current behavior?**
- **exodus-privacy** displays two trackers found (Google CrashLytics + Google Firebase Analytics)
- **App Lounge** for the same app displays now seven found trackers.
(it was tested the same day, about three hours after the exodus rating has been generated)
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
The 2 ratings are different from each other, but they should not be.

## Summary
I went from Switzerland to Germany for a short trip. In the whole two days, I could not get the roaming to work in a usable matter. I had "no internet connection" most of the time, only once or twice a day, the roaming was working. I was the only one with this problem, which never happened before on stack android which leads me to the conclusion that's an /e/OS problem.
I did not switch my carrier or changed my SIM since changing to /e/OS. The APN settings are read from the sim and they are correct.
I visit my parents sometimes, which lives directly by the Swiss-Austria border. I did try the roaming there again as I can connect to the austria net from there. The same: the roaming is not working.
My carrier: sunrise
Please note: the screenshots are from today, where I had a low conneection as i connected to a further away austrian antenna from switzerland. I had good connection while in germany.

## Summary
While using [AAPS](https://github.com/nightscout/AndroidAPS), I'm unable to pair to an Accu-Check Combo. I was able to pair by downgrading to the oldest version of /e/os on my machine, version 1.11. I was also able to successfully pair when using Motorola's official ROM and latest Lineage (version 20.0).
## The problem
AAPS stands for _Android Artificial Pancreas System_. It automatically manages an insulin pump, which it connects to through bluetooth. My pump is the Accu-Check Combo, a pump that is over a decade old with no software updates. This means it's running some older version of bluetooth, which I imagine could be causing all of this. As a note, the pairing must be done through AAPS.
**What is the current behavior?**
Pairing fails with the following error message: `Could not establish an RFCOMM client connection to device with address XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX`
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
The pump pairs with no errors.
## Technical informations
After snooping through AAPS's code, I am fairly certain [this is where it's throwing this error](https://github.com/nightscout/AndroidAPS/blob/bb1a276078933351babcdec2328a33229335d104/pump/combov2/comboctl/src/androidMain/kotlin/info/nightscout/comboctl/android/AndroidBluetoothDevice.kt#L120).
From looking at AAPS's log (attached below), I believe this line is failing:
`systemBluetoothSocket = device.createInsecureRfcommSocketToServiceRecord(Constants.sdpSerialPortUUID)`
- As a note, device is defined as: `device = systemBluetoothAdapter.getRemoteDevice(androidBtAddressString)`
I am not an Android developer, however, so this is as far as my debugging skills go.

## Summary
First call ringing is directed to bluetooth (BT) speaker in do-not-disturb (DND). The display of the device shows no incoming call. When no BT speaker is connected the first call has no visual or sound notification.
The second call within 15mins rings as expected, visual on the device and sound on the BT speaker.
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
Test case A (with correct behaviour and notifications):
- do not connect to BT speaker, yet
- set do-not-disturb mode
- receive a call from not prioritized caller
- the call is dismissed, no visual, no sound
- receive the second call shortly after, within 15 mins
- the call is transmitted, visual and sound notification
Test case B
- connect to BT speaker
- set do-not-disturb mode
- receive a call from not prioritized caller
- the call is dismissed on the device, no visual, no sound
- the call is transmitted to the BT speaker with sound notification, the call cannot be received, because there is no notification to accept on the device
- receive the second call shortly after, within 15 mins
- the call is transmitted, visual on the device and sound notification on the speaker.
- the call can be received.
**What is the current behavior?**
In test case B:
- the 1st call is transmitted to the BT speaker with sound notification in DND mode
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
In test case B
- the 1st call shall not be transmitted to the BT speaker with any notification in DND mode, as expected and set by the DND mode.

- in Music app, in Artists tab, select "Alain Souchon"
**What is the current behavior?**
Album name is "Au ras des pâquerettes" for a song, and "Au ras des pâquerettes" for the other one.
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
Music app fully compliant with UTF-8 tags, and display "Au ras des pâquerettes" for both songs, as they have same data for album tag.
Album tag (TALB) is identified as UTF-8 according to binary data (03 value at position 11):
54 41 4C 42 00 00 00 19 00 00 **03** 41 75 20 72 61 73 20 64 65 73 20 70 C3 A2 71...
Checked with MusicBrainz Picard, if encoding set to ISO-8859-1, 03 is replaced by 00.
Encoding does not seem to be taken into account.
Note that ID3v2.4 format is used.
Even if the album name is not interpreted as the same, there is only one album with the bad name (see picture), but for some other albums, it leads to duplicate album, one with the correct name and the other with bad one.

## Summary
When the music files are stored on a SDCard, add them to a playlist, makes the window of the Music app disappear. The app itself is not closed and continues to works. A pop-up saying app has crashed can appear (while it's not completely true: window has crashed). The music files are not added to playlist.
If same files are stored on internal phone memory, they can be added to playlist.
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
Put some music files on you SDCard. The SDCard is not set as an extension of storage for phone, but as external storage.
Open Music app and try to add the music files to the play list.
**What is the current behavior?**
The Music app crashes and files stored on SDCard can't be added to playlist.
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
No crash of the Music app and be able to add music file to playlist even if stored on external storage.

Since some week I am unable to see SMS history for **some** contacts in Message app. Most of them work well, but **some** of them are completely unavailable and more important unsable **at all** (cannot send them messages).
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
1. Open Messages app
2. Look for some contact (JK in the first screenshot)
**What is the current behavior?**
1. Open the history in order to view it and to send him a message
- text area is unusable
- few seconds after I got a message stating that the Message app (as in the second screenshot) is stalled (click on waiting do not change anything)
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
1. I should view the message history, be able to input text and send it to my contact

## Summary
Issue https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/-/issues/6215 was wrongly closed, so hereby I re-open it.
Specifically, I have seen the following corruptions:
* flickering white and black visual artifacts all over the screen
* bright green splash screen background followed by red/orange filter (see [video](https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/-/issues/6215#technical-informations))
* splash screen animations appeared as repeating \~5px-high strips down the centre \~1/2 of the screen
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
1. Reboot the device.
2. Sometimes (not always), those visual distortions occur.
**What is the current behavior?**
Visual distortions occur.
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
No visual distortions should occur.

The current Easy Installer on Windows presents "Try Again" button after download when the sources folder contains a previous img download and extracted files. It was a second attempt with the same device. The Teracube 2e Emerald.
## The problem
**Steps to reproduce**
Run the Windows version of Easy Installer after previously using it to install /e/.
**What is the current behavior?**
The download step does not succeed and a "Try Again" button is displayed. It is not possible to continue with the install.
**What is the expected correct behavior?**
The "Continue" button should appear and the install should continue as normal.
## Solutions
**Workaround**
Closing Easy Installer and removing the contents of `%localappdata%\easy-installer\sources\<device_name>` allows the install to proceed as normal.
**Possible fixes**
See workaround. It might also be a good idea to decorate the downloaded filename with the device codename and /e/ OS version number instead of just putting "latest" in the filename. There are better troubleshooting options with the former filename pattern and less likelihood that other failures will occur when checking based on the filename string.
