High data usage
High data usage
After readings others bugs, it seems that issue has already been reported (for example 73). By giving more information this could be helpful for you for resolving it.
I am using a Fairphone 2 with a Nougat version (0.7-2019070515670). I am connected to :
- a /e/ account
- a Framagenda account (only for sync task and agenda)
- a local NextCloud instance (with no access outside; need WiFi)
I installed the NextCloud client on two computers (a laptop and a desktop; both on Linux).
Steps to reproduce
The 15th of July, after update the version of /e/, I disconnect/reconnect every account. Since I was at home 30 minutes before go outside I hoped that the sync been made with WiFi. But maybe the delays rose up because it used the 3g data to sync.
Yesterday (the 22th of July), I upload two videos files for around 300Mo. On the phone, it shows that it has needed more than 700Mo for sync. This time, there are no any /e/ account disconnect.
What is the current behavior?
The consumption of data exploded my mobile phone plan. Since the last month, I uploaded around 1.3Go. On the phone consumption report, it can be seeing that the android platform use 3.46Go (3g) + 4.88Go (WiFi).
What is the expected correct behavior?
To check if a folder is synchronized, I think it need some to transfer some data but it would expect less than 1Go per month.
Relevant logs and/or screenshots
Here are two screenshots (during this month, old months show high data usage too but not so many) :
It could be helpful for me if I can just sync the /e/ data file by using WiFi. Is it possible? :-)
